1) Download sn0wbreeze here:
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/5193098/sn0wbreeze%203.1.2.exe2) Download the correct 3.1.2 firmware for your device:
http://www.felixbruns.de/iPod/firmware/3) Click the arrow and then choose either simple mode or expert mode. Expert Mode is my preferred choice.
4) Once you have selected the mode you want it will ask you to select your firmware
5) Once the firmware is confirmed you will want to select General. The general option will allow you to change the root partition size and add the sn0wbreeze app
6) It will then ask you to choose Cydia or Rock, or both. Once you have selected which installers you want it will then ask you to select your apps you want to be included in the firmware
7) Then next screen will give you the option to change your boot logo and your recovery logo. You can get those from
http://www.modmyi.com (sign up takes less than 2 minutes)
After you have chosen your boot logo and recovery logo, click the arrow and then select build custom ipsw
9) Click start when you are ready (this will vary in time)
10) Once the firmware has been built, plug your device in and open up itunes
11) In itunes, select your device and then hold down the shift key and click restore. A window will pop up telling you to select your firmware.
12) Once you have chosen the custom firmware and clicked open, itunes will start to restore your device with the custom firmware. When it is finished, your device will be jailbroken.
